pleach
Weave living hedges
Pleach is to interlace the branches of trees or shrubs to form a hedge, screen, or decorative pattern.
The technique trains woody plants into flat planes or tunnels by weaving and binding their growth together: pleached limes lined the formal garden path.
The word is primarily British and horticultural.
