picture disc

Decorated record variant

A picture disc is a vinyl record with an image printed or embedded on one or both sides, visible through a transparent protective layer.

Produced primarily as collectibles rather than for audio quality, picture discs typically feature album artwork, band photos, or promotional images: The limited edition came as a picture disc with the band's logo.
