photobombed

Ruined the shot

Photobombed is the past tense of photobomb—to insert yourself into someone else's photograph without their knowledge or consent, typically by appearing in the background just as the picture is taken.

The effect is usually comic or mischievous: I didn't notice the guy until I saw the photo—we got photobombed.

The term emerged with digital photography and social media, where unexpected intruders in the frame became a recognized phenomenon.
