pet show
Judged animal exhibition
A pet show is a competition where domestic animals are exhibited and judged, typically on appearance, breed standards, or trained behaviors.
Dog shows and cat shows are the most common varieties.
Less formal pet shows at schools or community events may judge any household pet on charm or costume: My daughter entered her hamster in the pet show.
