paste wax
Solid floor finish
Paste wax is a thick, semi-solid furniture or floor polish that comes in a tin or tub rather than a liquid bottle.
It typically contains carnauba or beeswax suspended in a solvent, applied with a cloth and buffed to a protective shine: He rubbed paste wax into the antique table until it gleamed.
Paste wax produces a harder, longer-lasting finish than spray polishes but requires more effort to apply.
