leather conditioner
Softens dried hides
Leather conditioner is a product applied to leather goods to restore moisture, prevent cracking, and maintain suppleness.
Like skin, leather dries out over time and benefits from periodic treatment.
Most conditioners contain oils or waxes that penetrate the material: I use leather conditioner on my boots every few months.
Also called leather cream or leather balm.
