passive-aggression
Veiled antagonistic behavior
Passive-aggression is hostility expressed indirectly rather than openly.
Instead of stating anger or disagreement, the passive-aggressive person uses subtle obstruction, procrastination, sullenness, or deliberate inefficiency: Her passive-aggression came out in "forgetting" tasks she'd agreed to do.
The behavior allows deniability—the aggressor can claim innocence while still inflicting frustration.
