pacer test
Shuttle endurance assessment
The pacer test, formally the Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run (PACER), is a fitness assessment where participants run back and forth across a set distance, keeping pace with timed audio beeps that get progressively faster.
Common in school physical education programs, it measures aerobic capacity until participants can no longer keep up: I made it to level seven on the pacer test.
The opening recorded announcement has become an internet meme.
