overflow error
Too much data
An overflow error occurs when a calculation produces a value too large for the system to store or represent.
Computers allocate fixed amounts of memory for numbers, so exceeding that capacity causes errors or unexpected results: The program crashed with an overflow error when the counter exceeded its maximum value.
Related to buffer overflow, where data exceeds allocated memory space.
