overflights
Planes passing overhead
Overflights are flights over a particular territory, especially by military or surveillance aircraft crossing another nation's airspace.
The term often appears in diplomatic and military contexts: The treaty permits limited overflights for inspection purposes.
Overflight rights—permission to fly through a country's airspace without landing—are negotiated between nations.
