Desk tray, departing
An outbasket is a tray or container on a desk for documents that have been processed and are ready to be filed, mailed, or passed along to others.
It's the counterpart to an inbox, where incoming work arrives.
The term appears in office settings and in assessment exercises where candidates handle simulated paperwork: The in-basket/out-basket exercise tested her prioritization skills.
