offering plates
Church donation trays
Offering plates are shallow dishes or trays passed among worshippers during religious services to collect monetary donations.
Typically found in Christian churches, they circulate through the pews during a designated portion of the service: The offering plates were passed while the choir sang.
The collection supports the congregation's operations and charitable work.
