off-sale
Alcohol to go
Off-sale describes alcohol sold for consumption elsewhere—the opposite of on-sale, where you drink on the premises.
A liquor store is an off-sale establishment; a bar is on-sale.
The term appears mainly in licensing contexts: The restaurant has both on-sale and off-sale permits.
Some regions use off-premise instead.
