off-license
Alcohol retail shop
An off-license is a British term for a shop licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption elsewhere—off the premises.
Americans would call it a liquor store or package store.
The term can also describe the license itself: They applied for an off-license to sell wine.
Sometimes shortened to offie.
