objectified

Reduced to object

Objectified describes someone or something treated as an object rather than as a full person with agency and dignity.

Most often applied to how women are portrayed or regarded—reduced to their physical attributes or sexual appeal: She felt objectified by the way he stared.

The term also appears in philosophical contexts about treating people as means rather than ends.
