nonhelmeted
Head protection absent
Not wearing a helmet.
The term appears most often in safety contexts—traffic statistics, sports regulations, workplace rules—where helmet use is the expected norm: Nonhelmeted motorcyclists face higher fatality rates.
It can also simply describe someone bareheaded in a setting where helmets are common: a nonhelmeted cyclist weaving through traffic.
