nephritic
Concerning inflamed kidneys
Nephritic is a medical adjective relating to the kidneys or kidney disease.
It appears most often in clinical contexts describing inflammation or dysfunction: nephritic syndrome involves blood and protein in the urine due to kidney inflammation.
The term derives from the Greek word for kidney, which also gives us nephritis (kidney inflammation) and nephrologist (kidney specialist).
The patient presented with nephritic symptoms after the infection spread.
