myriads

Vast uncountable quantities

Myriads means a great or countless number of something: Myriads of stars filled the night sky.

The word derives from the Greek for ten thousand, but in modern use it simply suggests an overwhelming quantity.

It functions as a noun taking a plural verb, though the singular myriad (without the s) is more common and can also serve as an adjective: myriad possibilities.
