muso
Serious music player
A muso is a musician, especially one who is serious, skilled, or obsessive about music.
The term is informal British and Australian slang, sometimes carrying a hint of affectionate mockery for someone deeply absorbed in technical aspects of music: The musos in the band spent hours debating amp settings.
It can also simply mean a music enthusiast.
