multiple exposure
Stacked image technique
Multiple exposure is a photographic technique where two or more images are superimposed on a single frame, creating a layered or ghostly effect.
Traditionally achieved by exposing the same piece of film more than once, it's now commonly replicated digitally.
The technique can produce dreamlike imagery, show motion sequences, or create artistic double portraits: The multiple exposure showed her face dissolving into tree branches.
