mud house
Clay brick home
A mud house is a dwelling built primarily from mud or clay, often mixed with straw, grass, or other binding materials.
Such construction—including adobe, cob, and rammed earth—has been used for millennia across cultures and remains common in parts of Africa, the Middle East, and the American Southwest.
Mud houses offer natural insulation and low cost but require maintenance against water damage: The village consisted of traditional mud houses with thatched roofs.
