month-to-month lease
Short-term rental agreement
A month-to-month lease is a rental agreement that automatically renews each month until either party gives notice to terminate.
Unlike fixed-term leases that lock in a specific duration, month-to-month arrangements offer flexibility—tenants can leave and landlords can change terms with relatively short notice, typically thirty days: After the year lease expired, we went month-to-month.
