midslope
Between peak, base
Midslope describes the middle portion of a hill, mountain, or other incline—between the base and the summit.
The term appears in geography, forestry, and real estate: a midslope vineyard with good drainage, erosion patterns vary from ridgetop to midslope to valley floor.
As an adverb, it indicates position on that middle section: The cabin sits midslope, sheltered from summit winds.
