mic input
Where microphones connect
A mic input is a connector on audio equipment—recorders, mixers, amplifiers, computers—designed to receive signals from a microphone.
Mic inputs typically provide lower impedance and often supply phantom power for condenser microphones, distinguishing them from line inputs which expect stronger signals: Plug the microphone into the mic input, not the aux jack.
