mark up
Add retail margin
Mark up has two main senses.
One is to increase the price of something: The store marks up imported goods by forty percent.
The markup is the amount added above cost.
The other sense is to add annotations, corrections, or formatting instructions to a document: She marked up the manuscript with editorial notes.
In computing, markup refers to tags that structure digital text—HTML is hypertext markup language.
