maple sugaring
Tapping for syrup
Maple sugaring is the process of collecting sap from maple trees and boiling it down to make maple syrup or sugar.
The practice typically happens in late winter when freezing nights and warmer days cause sap to flow.
We went maple sugaring at my uncle's farm in Vermont.
