maculas
Discolored skin patches
Maculas is the plural of macula, a spot or discolored area on the skin or other tissue.
In anatomy, the macula lutea is a small yellowish area near the center of the retina responsible for sharp central vision—the macula that eye doctors monitor for age-related degeneration.
The Latin plural maculae is also used, especially in medical contexts.
