liver spots
Sun damage signs
Liver spots are flat, brownish patches that appear on aging skin, especially on areas exposed to sun—hands, face, arms.
Despite the name, they have nothing to do with the liver; the term comes from their color resembling cooked liver.
Also called age spots: Her hands were covered in liver spots.
