lordships
Aristocratic forms of address
Lordships is the plural of lordship, which refers to the authority, domain, or status of a lord.
More commonly, it appears as a form of address for judges or nobility: Their lordships will hear the case tomorrow.
The term can also refer to territories under a lord's control: The various lordships of medieval Wales were often in conflict.
