living wall
Planted building facade
A living wall is a vertical structure covered with growing plants, attached to the interior or exterior of a building.
Also called a green wall or vertical garden, living walls serve aesthetic, environmental, and insulating purposes: The office lobby features a living wall of ferns and moss.
They differ from climbing vines by using engineered systems with soil, irrigation, and drainage built into the wall itself.
