live photos
Animated iPhone captures
Live photos are a smartphone camera feature that captures a few seconds of video before and after a still image is taken, creating a photo that moves when viewed.
Developed by Apple but now common across devices, they preserve fleeting moments—a child's laugh, wind through hair—that a static image would miss: I got a great live photo of the dog catching the frisbee.
