Behind-you vehicle eye
A rear camera is a camera mounted on the back of a device.
On smartphones, the rear camera faces away from the user and is typically higher quality than the front-facing selfie camera: The rear camera has better resolution for landscape shots.
On vehicles, a rear camera (or backup camera) shows what's behind when reversing, now standard equipment in most cars.
