lion's share
Most of it
The lion's share is the largest or best portion of something, typically taken by the most powerful party in a division.
The phrase comes from Aesop's fable in which a lion claims all parts of a kill for himself, leaving nothing for his hunting partners.
In modern usage it simply means the majority or greatest part: The lion's share of the budget goes to salaries.
