lightweight metal
Easy to lift
A lightweight metal is any metal with low density relative to its strength, making it useful where weight matters—aerospace, automotive, and portable equipment.
Aluminum is the most common example; titanium and magnesium also qualify.
The term is descriptive rather than technical: The frame is made from lightweight metal to reduce fuel consumption.
