Sculptures using illumination
Light art is visual art that uses light as its primary medium.
This includes neon sculptures, LED installations, projections, and works using natural light.
The term covers everything from James Turrell's immersive light spaces to commercial neon signs elevated to gallery status.
The museum's light art exhibition transformed the building after dark.
