leadwork
Shaping soft metal
Leadwork is work done with lead—the fitting, installing, or crafting of lead materials.
The term appears most often in architecture and construction: lead roofing, flashing, gutters, and the came strips that hold stained glass windows together.
The cathedral's medieval leadwork required careful restoration.
A leadworker is one who does such work.
