lagophthalmos
Lid won't shut
Lagophthalmos is the inability to fully close the eyelids, leaving part of the eye exposed during sleep or blinking.
The condition can result from facial nerve paralysis, scarring, or eyelid abnormalities, and may cause dryness, irritation, or corneal damage.
The stroke left him with lagophthalmos that required lubricating drops at night.
