juvenilization
Shift toward immaturity
Juvenilization is the process of making something more youthful, childlike, or immature.
The term appears in biological contexts for retention of juvenile traits into adulthood, and in cultural criticism for the simplification of media, products, or discourse to appeal to younger audiences or less sophisticated tastes: the juvenilization of American politics, the juvenilization of popular culture.
