unformed
Lacking definite shape
Unformed describes something that hasn't yet taken definite shape or structure.
Clay is unformed before the potter works it; an idea is unformed before it crystallizes into a plan.
The word often suggests potential not yet realized: unformed thoughts, an unformed talent.
It can also mean immature or undeveloped: the unformed mind of a child.
