jungle planet
Overgrown alien sphere
A jungle planet is a science fiction concept: a world whose surface is dominated by dense tropical vegetation.
The trope appears throughout the genre, from pulp adventures to space operas, typically featuring hostile wildlife and ancient ruins.
The crew landed on a jungle planet teeming with predators.
Real planets would have varied biomes, making the single-biome world a convenient fictional shorthand.
