jankiness
Rough around edges
Jankiness is the quality of being janky—poorly made, unreliable, or held together in makeshift fashion.
The term comes from tech and gaming culture, where it describes glitchy software or clunky interfaces: The jankiness of the controls made the game frustrating.
It extends to anything rickety or substandard: I love this old car despite its jankiness.
