in-swinger
Goal-curving corner kick
An in-swinger is a cricket delivery that curves through the air toward the batsman, moving from the off side to the leg side for a right-handed batter.
The bowler achieves this movement by angling the seam and using wrist position to make the ball swing inward.
In-swingers are effective for trapping batsmen leg before wicket or bowling them through the gate: He was undone by a late in-swinger that nipped between bat and pad.
