immotile
Lacking all movement
Immotile means incapable of movement or lacking the ability to move.
The term appears most often in biology, describing cells or organisms that cannot propel themselves: immotile sperm, immotile cilia syndrome.
Where motile organisms swim or crawl, immotile ones stay put or drift passively.
