immortalist
Seeks endless life
An immortalist is someone who believes human death can and should be defeated through scientific or technological means.
The term describes advocates for radical life extension research, from cryonics enthusiasts to longevity scientists: The immortalists gathered at the conference to discuss advances in aging reversal.
It carries a whiff of science fiction optimism, sometimes used skeptically by critics who view the goal as fantasy.
