horror comedy
Frightening yet amusing
Horror comedy blends scary and funny elements, using the conventions of horror films—monsters, gore, suspense—for laughs rather than (or alongside) genuine fright.
The genre ranges from parody to dark humor to slapstick with blood: Shaun of the Dead is a classic horror comedy.
