hoof print
Horse's ground stamp
A hoof print is the impression left in soft ground by an animal's hoof—typically a horse, deer, cow, or similar hoofed creature.
Trackers read hoof prints to identify animals and determine their direction of travel: Fresh hoof prints crossed the muddy trail.
Also spelled as one word: hoofprint.
