homeworlds
Species' birth planets
Homeworlds are the planets of origin for intelligent species, especially in science fiction.
Earth is humanity's homeworld.
The term carries emotional weight—a homeworld represents ancestral roots, cultural identity, and often what's at stake in interstellar conflict: The fleet returned to defend the homeworld.
In gaming, a homeworld may be a player's starting territory or base of operations.
