homeschooler
Parent-taught student
A homeschooler is someone involved in education conducted at home rather than in a traditional school.
The term applies both to the student being taught and to the parent doing the teaching: As a homeschooler, she finished her coursework by noon.
The word sometimes carries connotations of religious conservatism or countercultural independence, depending on context.
