heat output
Energy radiated outward
Heat output is the amount of thermal energy something produces or releases, typically measured over time.
The term appears most often with heating systems, appliances, and engines: The furnace has a heat output of 80,000 BTUs per hour.
When comparing heaters or radiators, heat output determines how effectively they'll warm a space.
