headlight switch
Illumination toggle device
A headlight switch is the control in a vehicle that turns the headlights on and off and typically selects between low beams and high beams.
In older cars this was often a floor-mounted button or a dashboard knob; modern vehicles usually incorporate it into a stalk on the steering column or an automatic sensor system.
